This battle royale is all about consistency. The open-profile submission is allowing you to bring what you have in rotation that represents the best quality and smokability for your operation. As cultivators, we are defined by our last batch. As we continue to dive deep into the topic of the Science of Smokability, it’s time to level up together in the sense of post production and consistency. All samples will be provided an aW (water activity) measurement by the Aqualab 4TE. We will see how this measurement aligns with the judges!

Commercial cultivators welcome to contend for the title! We appreciate small batch/hobbyist cultivators willingness to participate, however, we will offer your own category in the future. This is currently for large scale operators to learn and level up from a commmercial level.

while we don’t require R&D tests to be submitted, we will be screening for any molds/mildew or contaminants. Your entry will be discarded and you will be notified with images of the challenges which we deem unsafe for our judges.

If you do not have your entry in by 7/22, you will not be competing. We have a strict plant in place with a curated panel of rollers that will be breaking down your entry on live stream 7/23. Water Activity (aW) will be measured using the Aqualab 4TE at time of breakdown and roll into 3g doinks by Bruno & CGO.

SUBMISSIONS DUE DATE: 7/22/25
We will be accepting entries at a location 2-minutes away from Indoor Sun Hydro. You will receive email communication with the address to ensure entries are dropped off by 7/22. Your entry will be stored in a controlled environment until the 7/23 Roller Royale, which it will be ran through the Aqualab 4TE to collect Water Activity, Moisture Content & Grind Volume. The entry will then be placed in a glass mason jar with a random number for judging on 7/24.
EVENT DATE: 7/24/25
SUBMISSIONS DUE TO INDOOR SUN DUE BY 7/22/25. We will be assessing each entry prior to the battle and measuring the aW (water activity) on each sample before going through the assessment. This will consist of pro rollers breaking down and twisting up each submission along while being live streamed.

While others are still trying to figure out the small-bud trait genetics, you are here today surviving because you’ve leveled up and dialed in your irrigation strategy and focused on quality. “Our purpose of the Battle Royale is to highlight and celebrate our fellow cultivators who pour their heart and soul into producing quality flower. In order to survive in the market, you have to feed it what is in demand, whether it is the candy wave, gas or whatever the market throws at us. This competition is an opportunity for us to come together and appreciate the craft of one another while learning and leveling up from fellow cultivators. Our contenders are the judges which we also sprinkle in some trusted industry smokers with a refined palette to help provide a well-rounded judging panel. We still include the most important element, having fun while learning and leveling up with a relevant topic in cultivation which can help us refine our process.”

This competition is reserved for commercial operators. Hobbyists cultivators are welcome to compete when we offer openings by invite only. We truly appreciate everyone who wants to learn and level up while reserving this space for the commercial operators cultivating for quality at scale.

No, however, we do reserve the right to only allow a certain amount of contenders due to limitations of the DNA Chip powered by MyFloraDNA.

Generally, all submissions must be in 72-hours prior to the event. This allows for photography, professional rolling & DNA Fingerprinting along with aW (water activity) testing on intake.

Welcome to the Battle Royale! All contestants will have the opportunity to receive a CCI DNA Fingerprint by MyFloraDNA.
We use this data to showcase the relationship of each of the flower entries at a genomic level.
Each contender can purchase their CCI for 50% off the retail price ($180 MSRP). Top 3-winners will receive a sponsored CCI compliments of MyFloraDNA.

The purpose of doing this is to showcase the similarities of all of these candy cultivars and provide you with your validation of the genetics shortly after the event. You will receive a login to the MyFloraDNA.com cloud portal to review your CCI. These CCI's are trait agnostic (<3k markers) which means they are completely random and can't be used for any breeding purposes.
