This battle royale is all about consistency. The open-profile submission is allowing you to bring what you have in rotation that represents the best quality and smokability for your operation. As cultivators, we are defined by our last batch. As we continue to dive deep into the topic of the Science of Smokability, it’s time to level up together in the sense of post production and consistency.
All samples will be provided an aW (water activity) measurement by the Aqualab 4TE. In addition, we are going to measure TVOC’s (total volatile organic compounds) AKA: Loudness Factor, which will determine if your entry makes it into the Top 10 Battle Royale Judges Kit.
We will see how this measurement aligns with the judges!
TOP 10 CONTENDERS FROM THE BATTLE ROYALE: CONTENDERS SERIES WILL MAKE IT TO THE BATTLE ROYALE: FINALE, WHICH WILL BE IN THE JUDGES KIT.
BATTLE ROYALE: CONTENDERS WILL BE JUDGED ON LOUNDNESS (AROMA USING A TOTAL VOC METER). THE BASELINE WILL BE DETERMINED BY A PROTOCOL THRESHOLD FROM THE TOP TEN SCORING ENTRIES. IF YOUR ENTRY DOES NOT MAKE IT PAST THIS ROUND, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE FINALE.
BATTLE ROYALE: LOUDNESS PROTOCOL
- ENTRY WILL BE PUT THROUGH THE FLOWER MILL (3 GRAMS)
- ENTRY WILL BE PLACED INTO A GROVE BAG FOR 5 MINUTES WITH OUR TVOC METER.
- ENTRY WILL BE RECORDED AND RANKED FOR FINALE QUALIFICATION.

Commercial cultivators welcome to contend for the title! We appreciate small batch/hobbyist cultivators willingness to participate, however, we will offer your own category in the future. This is currently for large scale operators to learn and level up from a commercial level.

while we don’t require R&D tests to be submitted, we will be screening for any molds/mildew or contaminants. Your entry will be discarded and you will be notified with images of the challenges which we deem unsafe for our judges.

FLOWER REGISTRATION: DUE 11/18 - these will be mailed to you. Click here to register. There is no fee to contend if you are a commercial cultivator.
SUBMISSION BAGS: You will be receiving (2) 1-ounce Grove Bags to the registered location via mail. These (2) Battle Bags will be what you are required to submit your flower entry into.
FLOWER SUBMISSION WINDOW opens: 11/28-12/1
DROP OFF: Las Vegas location (you will be notified after registration is accepted via email)
If you do not have your entry in by 12/1, you will not be competing. We have a strict plant in place with a curated panel of rollers that will be breaking down your entry. This takes time and we have a lot of work to do to ensure fairness.
Water Activity (aW) will be measured using the Aqualab 4TE at time of breakdown and roll into 3g doinks by Bruno, CGO & Grasshoppa.

Judges Kit will be picked up at the Loud Omakase Dinner 12/3/25.
Your entries will be due by 9pm 12/4/25.

PRIVATE RESIDENCE WILL BE 20-30 MINUTES FROM THE LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER
EVENT DATE: 12/3/25
We will be assessing each entry prior to the battle and measuring the aW (water activity) on each sample before going through the assessment. This will consist of pro rollers breaking down and twisting up each submission along while being live streamed.

BATTLE CONTENDERS WILL RECEIVE (2) TICKETS TO EVENT.
TIME: Judging Kits provided at 6:00 pm
JUDGES: Final entries ratings due 12/4/25 at 9am.
WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: Winners will be announced 12/4/25 at 3pm in The Vault Stage at MJBizCon at (Booth #C27402)
